WHEEL TASTER CLASS

NEW FOR 2023!

This class is perfect for those just wanting to give the pottery thing a go! 

During a one-off 2 hour session students are taught the processes involved in making functional ceramics on the potters wheel. This includes wedging, centering clay on the wheel and throwing cylindrical and bowl forms.

The cost of this class covers the AM Ceramics team completing your items (turning the base, glazing and firing) after the class time. Students usually make 2-3 pieces each, but there is no limit.

Class sizes are capped at 5 students to ensure everyone gets ample one-on-one time, allowing for students of all abilities to work alongside each other.

Ideal for beginners - no experience necessary! Everything is included - clay, equipment, glazes, firing - you just need to bring yourself :)

Please note that while this course is wheel focused, if there is a majority of students wanting to work with hand building techniques the projects can be tailored to suit this - please just let Anna know before attending.
